Synopsis

This course is designed to equip students with the fundamental of programming skills and provide a general understanding of computer operations from the programmer’s perspective. The emphasis is on problem solving and algorithm development.

Objectives

Upon successfully completion of this course, students should be able to:

1. identify and apply steps in problem solving,

2. design and develop suitable algorithm representation in system design,

3. apply fundamental concepts of a programming language, and

4. translate the developed algorithm into a working program using programming language.
